ABIT Siluro T400
3DMark 2001
The second test we ran was Mad Onion's 3DMark 2001. Note that with
all three of these cards the scores are significantly lower then they
would be with GeForce3s or GeForce2 Ultras since the suite skips three of its most important tests: the "Nature" game, Environmental Bump Mapping, and Pixel Shading.
Looking at the overall 3D mark score reveals little, except that the P4 doesn't take much advantage of DirectX8 with these drivers: Its scores are nearly identical to those of the the 1.2GHz Athlon.
Breaking the 3DMark score down among the three games shows pretty much what we had expected to see with Quake III: in each game, the T400's advantage is slightly greater at low quality than it is at high. Throughout, the P4 fails to boost the scores the way its extra 200Mhz should, and the GF256 continues to lag behind the MXes.
